Can't Live on $43 Million

George David is the ex-CEO of United Technologies. In 2002 he married Swedish countess Marie Douglas-David in 2005 the two of them signed a "post-nuptual" agreement that in the event of divorce gives Marie Douglas-Davis $43 million. Wouldn't you know it now they are in divorce court and Ms. Douglas-Davis changed her mind. She now thinks that $43 million is not enough for her to live on. Let's see even if we round up and assume they were married 7 full years that works out to $6.1 Million per year.

I checked Bank of America this afternoon and they are offering a "high-yield" CD that pays 2.25%. If you take the $43M and put it in CD's at BOA that works out to $967,500 a year in interest or $2,650.68 per day. But apparently that is not enough to live on.

Times are tough economically and personally I have cut my Starbucks habit down to one or two a week in order to get by on lower income. It's just a thought but maybe it will help.
